Explain briefly about the class
The class is a dynamic flowing approach featuring the STOTT PILATES® method. These energising classes will stretch and strengthen the body to achieve ideal posture and optimal functional fitness.
All ages and abilities are welcome, and modifications to exercises can always be found where necessary. The class is progressive, so that week by week clients are continually challenged as their strength and understanding of their body grows.
What will happen in a class
In this Mat based Pilates class, the exercises are performed in various positions - sitting, lying on your back, front or side to target different areas of the body. You will be guided through corrective exercises that lengthen and strengthen the muscles. Particular focus is given to developing core stability and improving your posture. With careful mobilisation of the joints and the release of tension from the muscles; the body fluids can then circulate more freely and endorphins are released; making you feel revitalised yet relaxed, with a greater sense of health and happiness.
